Trench coats are such winners built and designed for genuine protection against the elements. Given their name after being worn in the trenches in the First World War they continue to be a staple 100 years on. How do we design garments to last a long time? Necessity and a function are usually a good place to start but it’s a constant question

I’ve wanted to bring this design to you for a while. Now with the colder days coming it feels perfect. I have worn this one all year, the shape hangs from your shoulders and moves with you, it feels smart but is also so insanely practical and covers a questionable outfit real well. The fabric is organic and a dry oilskin meaning it is pretty shower proof, I have never had a problem with it but would feel that I couldn’t promise that you wouldn’t get wet if you poured a bucket of water over your head.
